抄録

はじめに:

微生物は人体に様々な感染症や疾病を引き起こし、直接あるいは間接的に感染因子の伝播につながる汚染の性質上、その大部分は偏在している。口腔内には数多くの細菌種が生息していることが確認されている。感染管理は、医療および歯科医療の現場における主要な関心事である。

INTRODUCTION: Microorganisms induce a variety of infections and diseases in the human body and are largely ubiquitous in the nature of the contamination, directly, or indirectly leading to transmission of infectious agents. A substantial number of bacterial species have been identified as inhabitants of the oral cavity. Infection control is a major topic of concern in medical and dental healthcare settings.

目的:

様々なハーブ抽出物の歯内療法用ファイルの殺菌能力を評価する。

AIM: To evaluate the disinfecting ability of various herbal extracts on sterilization of endodontic files against endodontic pathogens.

材料と方法:

本研究は、ティーツリー、ユーカリ、オイルの殺菌力を評価するために、3段階に分けて実施した。

MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study was conducted in three phases to evaluate the disinfecting ability of tea tree, , eucalyptus, and oil on sterilization of endodontic files against , β, specie and .

結果:

ティーツリーオイルを使用したI群では、II群（オイル）、III群（ユーカリオイル）、IV群（オイル）に比べ、すべての試験菌のコロニー形成単位（CFU）がそれぞれ有意に低いことがわかった。

RESULTS: Colony-forming units (CFU) of all tested bacteria among group I (tea tree oil) were found to be significantly lower than that among group II ( oil), group III (eucalyptus oil), and group IV ( oil), respectively.

結論:

すべてのエッセンシャルオイルの中で、抗菌活性はティーツリーオイルが最大であり、次いでユーカリ、オイルの順であった。したがって、これらのハーブを歯科診療に取り入れることは、歯科治療における貴重な補助となることが証明されるであろう。

CONCLUSION: The antimicrobial activity among all the essential oils was found to be maximum for tea tree oil, followed in descending order by , eucalyptus, and oils. Hence, the incorporation of these herbs in dental practice will prove to be a valuable adjunct in dental treatment.

臨床的意義:

ハーブはまた、鎮静・鎮静効果を有する様々な歯内療法用薬剤やドレッシング材に古くから使用されており、試験した歯内療法病原体に対して優れた微生物阻害能を示した。

CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Herbs have also been long used in various endodontic medicaments and dressings with obtundent and soothing effects and exhibited a great microbial inhibition potential against the tested endodontic pathogens.
