背景:

象牙質過敏症（DH）は非常に一般的なジレンマであり、従来の治療法では一時的に緩和されることが多い。本研究では、様々な治療法や材料を比較検討し、より優れた治療法を評価することで、長期的な治療効果を得ることを目的としています。

Context: Dentin hypersensitivity (DH) is a very common dilemma and often results in temporary relief by the conventional treatment method. An comparative study of various methods and materials helps in evaluation of a superior method to provide a long-lasting relief.

目的:

本研究の目的は、DHを管理するためのダイオードレーザー（DL）とClinpro XT Varnishの有効性を評価することであった。

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of diode laser (DL) and Clinpro XT Varnish for managing DH.

材料と方法:

本研究は、DHの管理にDLとフッ化物系ワニスを使用したCONSORT（Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials）ガイドラインに準拠した無作為化単盲検臨床試験を計画した。8名の患者から合計40本の歯が選ばれ、無作為に2群に分けられた。すべての患者に触覚とエアシリンジ刺激を与えてDHを評価し、視覚アナログスケール（VAS）を使用して、ベースライン、15分後、1週間後、3週間後の治療後の測定値を得た。スチューデント検定を用い、グループ内ではペア検定、グループ間ではアンペア検定を行った。

Materials and Methods: This study was a randomized, single-blinded, clinical trial, designed, adhering to the CONSORT (Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials) Guidelines using DL and fluoride-based varnish for managing DH. A total of 40 teeth were selected from eight patients and randomly divided into two groups. All patients received tactile and air syringe stimulus to assess for DH and a visual analog scale (VAS) was used to obtain readings at baseline, 15min, 1 week, and 3 weeks, posttreatment. Student's test was used, paired test was for the intragroups, and unpaired test was for intergroups.

結果:

この研究では、DLとクリンプロXTワニスの効果により、DHが有意に減少することが示された。しかし、成功は時間の経過とともに徐々に減少した。

Results: This study showed that the effect of DL and Clinpro XT Varnish results in a significant decrease of DH. However, success decreased gradually over time.

結論:

クリンプロXTワニスは即効性に優れ，DL効果は時間の経過とともに改善される傾向にある。そのため、最終的にはどちらも良好な結果が得られました。

Conclusion: Clinpro XT Varnish presented superior immediate effect and DL effect tends to become better with time. Hence, both had good results in the end.
