Tooth color and whitening - digital technologies.

目的:

歯の色と外観を測定するためのデジタル技術の使用を具体的に参照しながら、歯科領域における色の重要な概念を検討する。

OBJECTIVES: To review the key concepts of color in the dental domain with specific reference to the use of digital technology to measure color and color appearance.

材料と方法:

歯科領域における色の評価に関する文献を検討し、白さ、黄色さ、および色の外観を評価する方法を照合し、説明する。

MATERIALS AND METHODS: The literature on color assessment in dentistry is considered and methods for assessing whiteness, yellowness and color appearance are collated and described.

結果と結論:

色を評価するための様々な方法が存在し、デジタル画像を含めて実行可能であることが示された。白さを予測する方程式が特定され、効果的であるという証拠があるが、さらなる評価が必要かもしれない。

RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A variety of methods for assessing color have been shown to exist and be viable including digital imaging. Equations to predict whiteness are identified; there is evidence that they are effective but further evaluation may be needed.
