序論:

肝細胞がんは最も頻度の高い肝腫瘍であり、90％の症例で慢性肝疾患と関連している。一部の症例では、肝移植が全生存率の高い有効な治療法である。

INTRODUCTION: Hepatocellular carcinoma is the most frequent liver tumor and is associated with chronic liver disease in 90% of cases. In selected cases, liver transplantation represents an effective therapy with excellent overall survival.

対象領域:

1996年にミラノ基準が導入されて以来、HCC患者のLTに代わる多数の選択システムが提案されてきた。移植を受けるHCC患者をどのように選択するのが最善か、また、待機リスト上でどのように優先順位をつけるべきかについては、まだ議論が残っている。

AREA COVERED: Since the introduction of Milan criteria in 1996, numerous alternative selection systems to LT for HCC patients have been proposed. Debate remains about how best to select HCC patients for transplant and how to prioritize them on the waiting list.
