抄録

子宮内膜症はしばしば慢性疾患と表現されます。手術や内科的治療法では必ずしも完治するとは限らず、病気や症状の再発もよく見られます。通常、内科的治療は症状をコントロールするために使用され、手術は目に見える病変を取り除くことを目的としています。しかし、非常に根治的な手術を行っても再発することがよくあります。

Endometriosis is often described as a chronic condition. Surgical or medical treatment approaches do not always cure it, and recurrence of the disease or its symptoms is common. Medical treatment is usually used to achieve symptomatic control whilst surgery aims to eliminate the visible lesions. However, recurrence is frequently seen even after very radical surgery.
