オーストリアのザルツブルク近郊にある同じ淡水の小川から50A-KIRBAと50C-KIRBAの2つの細菌株が分離された。これらの菌株の16S rRNA遺伝子配列はそれぞれ100と99.9"Zs_200A"%の類似性を示した。119個のシングルコピー遺伝子のアミノ酸配列を用いてゲノムベースの系統再構成を行ったところ、本菌は2つの新種の属に属することが示唆された。全ゲノム平均ヌクレオチド同一性（gANI）値は85.4から87.5"Zs_200A"%の範囲であり，この結論を裏付けるものであった。表現型，化学運動学的形質およびゲノム的形質を調査した。50A-KIRBAおよび50C-KIRBAは他種と同様に好気性および化学的有機栄養学的に生育し，棒状で赤色色素を有し，運動性があり，滑空性である可能性が高かった。これらの菌株は，化学運動学的特徴のわずかな違いによって区別することができた。本研究では、50A-KIRBA株（=CIP 111735=LMG 31080）を型名とし、50C-KIRBA株（=CIP 111736=LMG 31501）を型名とすることを提案した。さらに、(59G-WUEMPEL)と(HME7025)の型株との関係を調べた。多相解析の結果、特にgANI値が97.6"Zs_200A"%であったことと、ゲノムに基づく系統再構成の結果から、(59G-WUEMPEL)は.59G-WUEMPELのヘテロ型同義語であることが示唆されました。

Two bacterial strains, 50A-KIRBA and 50C-KIRBA, were isolated from the same freshwater creek located near Salzburg, Austria. They showed 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities to of 100 and 99.9 %, respectively. A genome-based phylogenetic reconstruction with amino acid sequences of 119 single-copy genes suggested that the new strains represent two new species of the genus . Pairwise calculated whole-genome average nucleotide identity (gANI) values ranging from 85.4 to 87.5 % confirmed this conclusion. Phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and genomic traits were investigated. Like strains of other species, 50A-KIRBA and 50C-KIRBA grew aerobically and chemoorganotrophically, were rod-shaped, red-pigmented and motile, most likely by gliding. They could be distinguished by slight differences in the chemotaxonomic features. We propose to establish for strain 50A-KIRBA (=CIP 111735=LMG 31080) as type strain the name and for strain 50C-KIRBA (=CIP 111736=LMG 31501) as type strain the name . Furthermore, the relationship between the type strains of (59G-WUEMPEL) and (HME7025) was investigated. Results of polyphasic analyses, especially a gANI value of 97.6 %, as well as the genome-based phylogenetic reconstruction, suggested that is a heterotypic synonym of . According to rule 24b of the International Code of Nomenclature of Prokaryotes we propose to classify strain HME7025 as and provide an emended description for the latter.
