気管内挿管は、SARS-CoV-2 やその他の呼吸器病原体の感染のリスクが高い。我々は、このリスクを大幅に低減すると考えられる保護ドレープを設計し、ここに記載しています。これまで説明してきた挿管ボックスとは異なり、可搬性、使い捨てで、操作者の手先の器用さを制限しない。私たちは、COVID-19発生時に、それを広範囲に使用し、成功させました。

Endotracheal intubation poses high risk of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory pathogens. We designed and here describe a protective drape that we believe will greatly reduce this risk. Unlike the intubation box that has been described prior, it is portable, disposable, and does not restrict operator dexterity. We have used it extensively and successfully during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak.
