ヒストンシャペロンFACT（FAcilitates Chromatin Transcription）は、クロマチン化されたDNAへのアクセスを必要とする多くのプロセスにおいて、ヌクレオソーム構造を調節する。ここでは、DNAがポリメラーゼによって処理されている間、クロマチン構造を維持するために、ヌクレオソームの組み立てと分解の両方でFACTがどのように作用するのかについて、最近の生化学的および構造的な知見をレビューする。

The histone chaperone FACT (FAcilitates Chromatin Transcription) modulates nucleosome structure during many processes requiring access to chromatinized DNA. Here, we review recent biochemical and structural insight into how FACT acts in both nucleosome assembly and disassembly, to maintain chromatin structure while DNA is being worked on by polymerases.
