本剤の目的:
感染症で二次的にBRAOと診断された13歳男児の症例をまとめる。
Purpose: To summarize the case of a 13 year-old boy diagnosed with a BRAO secondary to infection.
観察:
突然の片側性で無痛性のスコトーマを呈した。眼底鏡所見とマルチモダール画像はBRAOと一致し、関連する動脈に沿って網膜内の白化が認められた。患者は自宅に15匹の猫を飼っているとのことであった。の抗体が陽性であった。患者はドキシサイクリン100mgを1日2回経口投与され、2ヶ月間網膜所見とスコトーマが完全に消失した。
Observations: The patient presented with a sudden, unilateral, and painless scotoma. Fundoscopic findings and multimodal imaging were consistent with a BRAO with associated areas of intraretinal whitening along the involved artery. Upon further questioning, the patient reported having 15 cats at home. Antibodies were positive for . The patient was treated with oral doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 2 months with complete resolution of the retinal findings and the scotoma.
結論と重要性:
は、小児年齢の患者においても、網膜炎とBRAOの潜在的な原因として考慮されるべきである。
Conclusions and importance: should be considered as a potential cause of retinitis and BRAO, even in pediatric-aged patients.
